Textiles for Bed and Bath for Atelier Martex

1989

TRIOMPHE.

Robert A. M. Stern Architects designed 2 collections of bed furnishings for Atelier Martex. All bring the evocative architecture and landscape of historical eras to the most intimate rooms of today's home.

The first collections debuted in 1989. Pompéi is inspired by the great Roman houses in which interior space was transformed through architecturally inspired decoration, while Newport Garden recalls the simple beauties of New England's traditional garden architecture.

Introduced in the spring 1990 season, Triomphe explores the graphic richness of Napoleonic France, while Hyannis recalls the simplicity and clarity that are the hallmarks of American vernacular design.
